When VBOX Motorsport presented us with the opportunity to gather an amazing group of content creators at Circuito Maspalomas in Gran Canaria, we wholeheartedly accepted. With our longstanding partnership, we knew we could align with their event goals – One of these being to harness the capabilities of the VBOX HD Lite!
Initiation: A selection process led us to handpick 10 exceptional creators from around the world, representing England, Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, and the US. To ensure comfort AND convenience, we organised accommodation at a well-appointed resort with a pool (Perfect for post-event relaxation!). Flight arrangements were managed efficiently, with particular attention to mitigating jet lag for our American participants who arrived a day early.
Day 1: The build up to the event! Creators relaxed after their travel and a dinner was hosted in the evening where the VBOX and FSM teams as well as the creators could interact, get to know each other and build anticipation for the main event!
Test Day: We personally transported creators via a brief 5 minute drive to the track, where the VBOX team had readied 10 Mazda MX-5 race cars equipped with VBOX HD Lites. We ensured that creators familiarised themselves with the track with the guidance of instructors (A particularly helpful experience for those accustomed to driving on the opposite side!). Once creators had tested the track alone, the Racelogic team demonstration the telemetry data which proved pivotal in enhancing our creators’ driving skills.
With the day progressing, the day was cut short for the well-being of our creators as temperatures were reaching 40°C!
Race Day: Creators engaged in two competitive races to determine the fastest lap times – The FSM team ensured a smooth operation of the event while creators captured the action for their content. The day’s activities were meticulously documented with the aid of the VBOX HD Lites.
The event came to a close and we had our winners! We ensured all creators celebrated well and were provided with a de-brief. The FSM team then ensured to personally transfer all creators back to the airport over the next couple of days for their journeys home.
